Mastering Stress and Time Management in Science

In the demanding world of science and academia, tight deadlines, high expectations, and a flexible yet often overwhelming workload can leave you feeling short on time and high on stress. But what if you could better manage both?

By the end of this workshop, you’ll be equipped to make smarter decisions about how you spend your time, respond more effectively to stress, and feel more satisfied — both in your career and your personal life.

Allgemeine Informationen

This interactive online workshop combines the principles of effective time management with practical stress management strategies to help you not only get more done, but feel better while doing it.

You'll start by exploring your personal schedule — 168 hours a week sounds like a lot, but where do they all go? We'll assess how your time aligns with your goals, both professional and personal, and offer tools to help you invest your time more intentionally. You'll learn how to structure your day, manage common time traps like meetings and email, and create a science-life balance that supports both productivity and wellbeing.

Alongside time management, we’ll address the role of stress in scientific careers. You’ll learn to identify the difference between healthy and harmful stress, how prolonged stress can affect performance, and most importantly, coping strategies to maintain mental clarity and focus — even in uncertain times. We'll introduce simple, science-backed relaxation techniques and explore how to build resilience in the face of academic pressures.
In this course you’ll learn:
