Unlocking Industry Doors: A Roadmap for PhDs and Postdocs in Life Sciences
In this course you will learn how to prepare for a successful transition from academia into industry, after the PhD or postdoc. You will work individually or in groups on your roadmap which will help you to stay on track with the actions you define yourself. You will be hearing success stories and pitfalls from the course instructor’s own experience or from PhDs and postdocs which she was counselling.

- Where can you learn (new/other) skills to make me employable?
- What are possible job roles and what is expected in industry?
- How shall you apply and prepare for interviews?
Pre-requisites for the course:
- Min. 3rd year PhD
- Linkedin profile
Please note: I will leave about 1 hour of the second course day without a topic so that I can react in a flexible way to the expectations of the participants.
ECTS 1.0. PhD students of the Life Science Zurich Graduate School have priority. External students can register to the waiting list and will be accepted if the course is not fully booked.
